Stay WARM This Winter by Stitching Up a Raggedy Quilt. They are Quick and Easy to Sew and Make Great Presents!

Let's Sew Some Twilight Projects!

One of the best things about being able to sew is how one can create anything they wish!  I am always encouraging my students to create new things!  To draw something and then say "yes" I can make that! Check out these Twilight items that some of my students ages 10-13 years old made because they just love Edward Cullen....I mean they love the movie Twilight. After all, who doesn't!...

You can make a Twilight pencil case too!

Eleven year old Alexa was in a craft show at her school, and she made a couple of different items to sell.  At the last minute she designed these adorable Twilight mini pillows and pencil cases.  They were easily made by using wonder-under to put the letters Twilight on.  Then she sewed up the sides and left the top open with Velcro to use as her closure on the pencil case.  What do you think were her 1st three items she sold at the show???? You guessed it..., the Twilight crafts!

(If you want to make these, the finished project measures about 10"X5".)

Easy Twilight Pillows you can make.

Students Gabrielle and Sarah, who also love the books and movie  Twilight, made giant pillows for their rooms.  Once again, these were simply made by using a product called wonder-under (heat bond) to put on the letters.  Then place the fabrics pretty sides together, sew around leaving an opening for turning.  Turn pillow pretty side out, stuff, and hand sew the opening closed.  The most difficult and time consuming part of making these Twilight pillows, is all the cutting out of the letters.
